Miami

Things have kicked off well in Miami! We're staying up in Miami Beach, a little out of the frantic pace of South Beach, and the view from our 17th floor room is most spectacular during a storm - which seems to be daily here in Florida.

The pool is fantastic - Trent doing a few laps here below.

The first night we headed out to Lincoln Rd in South Beach for a fabulous Japanese/Brazilian restaurant Sushi Samba. The whole area is packed, with a fantastic vibe. We're loving the recent time change (California to Florida) with the kids as they're happily staying up until 11pm/midnight!

The next night we headed into the Bayside area in Downtown Miami. This is similar to Darling Harbour - but much cooler!! We had a great Italian dinner out on the promenade, right next to a bar/club that was fully pumping - the kids couldn't help having a serious boogie! Again its about 11pm by this stage - lots of fun!

After, dinner at Bayside we did a "lap of the main" (BTW we've hired a big Lincoln Navigator for driving around Miami and for the trip up to Orlando) down on South Beach, which was a real eye-opener. Although, we decided that we would try and eat here the next night, which we did. Such a buzzy party town!!

After some shopping at the local Mega-mall the next day, we headed for Ocean Dr, South Beach. When we hopped out of the car the heavens opened up - for about 15 minutes it pelted down! After that we had our pic of the restaurants, as the rain had cleared a lot of the outside tables. It was a clear, fresh night after that - perfect!
