Highway 1 - Santa Barbara

We stopped at an area called El Capitan in the greater Santa Barbara area for a night of posh RVing in a new resort called Ocean Mesa. It was a lovely, well thought out setting, with fab pool and spa area, and full of families - the RV purists would NEVER spend $90 a night for BYO accommodation - but it was perfect for us and worth every cent!

It was great to have some beach time - a little too chilly in the water for me and the kids, but Trent enjoyed some body bashing.

The next morning we drove further south to the town of Santa Barbara which was very nice, lots of lovely shops and a beautiful shoreline drive. Wish we had more time, but we had to get back to LA to prepared Terry before returning him.
