We're staying in the Disney Beach Club resort inside "the world"(Walt Disney World) so there are lots of benefits, including transportation, reservations, see the fireworks from your room etc. The rooms are great and seem to accommodate our party of 5 quite well. The kids are clearly finding the rooms v comfortably, as they're sleeping until 11ish each day!
We were so excited to be going to Magic Kingdom after the taster at Disneyland, California! As we still had our hire car, we drove there, but then needed a 7 car tram and monorail to get from the parking lot to the front gates!
An early sighting of Pluto was fun - although Luke screamed his head off......a good start!?!
As the kids have watched Toy Story during this trip around 150 times, the Buzz Lightyear ride was a must!! Except they were captured by Zurg and put in jail....!?
BTW Thomas got a small split over his eye while waiting for the Pirates of the Carribean ride. It was pretty dark in the lead up to the ride, so we were a little shocked to see the blood when we exited the ride. Oh well, quick bandaid and on with the show.
We starting to get the hang of this Florida weather, and the mayhem that ensues when it absolutely buckets down (thunder and lightening) at around 3/4pm. We've concluded that the best part of the day - weather and crowd-wise - is post storm. Just have to have the ponchos handy!
The 3D films are a big hit with us all now, and the Peter Pan ride was fantastic - in fact we jumped on rides all the way until the midnight close!
