Florida keys

After spending our first day in Miami chilling, we headed off down to the Florida Keys (about 1.5 hours south of Miami. A stretch of 120 miles, made up of islands (keys) connected by various bridges and the Overseas Highway 1. We didn't know how far we would get, so we started at Key Largo - stopping at the famous Conch House for a bite to eat.

We drove further on to Islamorada, where you there are less mangroves and you can check out the waterways. I'd read that a stop at Robbie's Marina was a must, to visit the flea markets and feed the hungry Tarpon fish.

This was a fab stop for the kids, who loved feeding the HUGE tarpon fish! I think we went through about 10 buckets of food - according to Thomas the "tampons" were really hungry(!?!?)

After the excitement of Robbie's Marina, we enjoyed an incredible sunset on the way back through the keys to Miami.
