Epcot and lunch with the Princesses

Day 6 at Disney and we were definitely getting the hang of things! We booked one of the "character-themed" restaurants, for lunch with the princesses - we were all really pumped and headed to the Epcot theme park (through our special entrance - as our hotel was closest to this park)!!

Epcot is different to the other parks, as the theme is various country exhibits, restaurants and shopping, rather than characters and thrill-seeking rides. It made a refreshing change - as we walked through the "UK" to get to "Norway" and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall for our special lunch!

More so than the lunch, the boys loved the shop next door, full of viking gear - and an enormous troll!!

"Mexico" was a cool area, with an "it's a small world" type river cruise.

"Paris" was lovely, and "Japan" had a really cool drum performance. The piazza is "Italy" was a good place to stop for Trent's coffee fix.

After, countless other countries, we were back to the "UK" and had a chance meeting with Mary Poppins! Luke, bold as brass, decided Mary was worth jumping out of the pram for - again it was a piping hot day, and there was a fair amount of whining.

In the futuristic part of Epcot, there was a massive area dedicated to Nemo and friends which was a big hit with our lot. There was a great ride in which we cruised around in a clam - then it was time to get a pic from inside Bruce the shark!

The main draw card for Epcot is the evening fireworks and illumination show in the central lake. This was pretty spectacular  - and definitely had an edge over the other parks in this category.
