1st Stop: Castaway Cay

After a very comfortable first night of cruising, we woke up (already docked!) at Castway Cay in the Bahamas. This is Disney's private island, and it just a continuation of the service and entertainment you're treated to on the ship. It was a little overcast, but the setting was just gorgeous!

You could have pre-booked many activities on the island, including sailing, jet-skiing, para-gliding etc, but we'd done such little research about this trip before boarding, it was nice to bumble along and just enjoy the tropical environment.

There was a lunch-time dance party with Goofy and Minnie, which was really fun. As was the soft-serve, self-serve ice-cream which seemed to be around every corner!

Livvy stopped in for some braids - it really suits her!

On each of the ends of the main beach, there are water-park structures - SO COOL!! Also, great bars and outdoor lunch restaurants.

We spent the afternoon swimming and frolicking at the beach........ then it was time to board the ship again.

After we returned to the ship, and sent Trent off for a massage, I took the kids to one of the clubs, for the Family Dance Party before dinner. This was a scream! A little different to the clubbing I remember, but the kids enjoyed their glow drinks (a mojito for me!) and we all had a great boogie.
