Last night in the RV - thanks Terry!

We were back in Anaheim for our last night (at the same RV resort as our very first night in Terry) as it was only 15 mins drive from Camping World. So we spent the night packing up our things and sprucing him up, remembering that we would have full view of the Disneyland fireworks at 9.30pm as an incentive - they didn't disappoint!

We said our goodbyes to Terry Turtle, paid our excess mileage bill (nearly $1,000!! The rental company couldn't believe how far travelled in 3 weeks) and set off for LAX to fly to Miami.

Thanks Terry for looking after us so comfortably, and delivering back safely.

As a summary, we loved our time in the RV and feel like it will be the highlight of the trip - funny as it was the bit we were most nervous about!! We would recommend touring in a motorhome to anyone, but in particular to anyone with young children, as you're driving around with a full fridge, toilet, plenty of clothing changes - everything on hand! - plus, the consistency of the sleeping arrangements meant that the day closed off well, allowing everyone to be fresh for the day ahead. Once you get comfortable with the size and intricacies of the van, and get used to the workings of RV parks in general, it's smooth sailing. Obviously, having phones and internet is crucial to unplanned travel.

Who knows you may see one parked in front of our house one day.....
