We disembarked our cruise ship quite early on Friday morning, but had a few hours to kill before our 5pm flight to LA - so we arranged a car to take us to the Kennedy Space Centre for the day.
It was a very very hot day, and we were coming off the high of the cruise, so it was hard work to get into the spirit of things! However, Trent and I were really interested in the space program and enjoyed the Astronaut encounter with Ed Gibson, who'd spent 84 days in space. He was a very nice man, and obliging when it came to photo requests.
We watched a 3D IMAX on the building of the International Space Station too. I feel like there is lots more I would like to know - who knows, our kids may end up getting a job up there!?! It's also inspiring to think of so many countries working together to make it happen.
